Children are good teachers on Prayer. They remind us the posture of the Heart is most important in Prayer, not what we say or what meditation we do. Sincere, spiritual Prayer will lead us back into our native childlikeness and, therefore, to simplicity in Prayer.

There is a pervasive untruth shared among many that ritual is only practiced by persons in religion. Everyone engages in ritual. Ritual is simply any use of form to express the devotion of the Heart, be that ritual religious or not. We are bound to ritual, as long as we need form to express Presence, to share Love in the world in which we now live, conditioned by the duality of spirit and matter. Form is the servant of and expression of Spirit.
